Ingredients
Tomato ~ 2 Nos
Grated coconut ~ 3/4 cup
Cumin seeds ~ 2 pinch
Turmeric powder ~ 1/4 tsp
Red chilli powder ~ 1 tsp
Red chilli powder ~ 1 tsp
Shallots ~ 3-4 Nos
Green chillies ~ 4-5 Nos
Curry leaves
Mustard seeds
Dry red chillies ~ 2 Nos
Oil
Salt
Method
- Grind grated coconut, shallots and cumin seeds to a fine paste by adding 1/4 cup water.
- Heat oil and add mustard seeds, and when it crackles, add dry red chillies and curry leaves. Next lower the flame and add red chilli powder and turmeric powder and fry for less than a minute.
- Then add chopped tomato and green chillies ( split lengthwise ) and saute it till tomatoes are nicely done.
- Then add ground coconut mixture along with enough salt and water.
- Cook in low flame for about 5 minutes and then remove from the flame.
Have with Rice.
