Onion Pakoda



Ingredients
Gram flour ( Kadala mavu ) ~ 1 cup
Boiled basmati rice ~ 1/2 cup
Chopped coriander leaves ~ 1/2 cup
Rice flour ~ 2 tbsp
Soda powder ~ 1 pinch
Thinly sliced onions ~ 2 Nos
Chopped green chillies ~ 4 Nos
Chilly powder ~ 1/2 tsp
Coriander powder ~ 1/2 tsp
Cumin powder ~ 1/2 tsp
Turmeric powder ~ 1/4 tsp
Sugar ~ 1 tsp
Lime juice ~ 1 tsp
Salt to taste.

Water
Oil

Method
  • Mix all the ingredients together by adding water little by little to make a paste.
  • Then add 1 tsp of oil to the paste and mix it nicely and keep it aside for 15 minutes.
  • Heat oil in an another pan.
  • Make small balls from the paste you made.
  • Then fry the balls in the oil till it become golden brown in color.
  • Serve hot with chatni or tomato sauce.
